My Everyday Makeup tutorial

Image
It’s about time that I did another blog post! This time it is about my current everyday makeup routine for school! Oh well, better late than never! Here’s a rundown of my current everyday makeup routine: Foundation: I don't like wearing foundation when I'm at school because I don't want any heavy makeup on my face. Concealer: Let me start off by saying I have DARK CIRCLES, I mean it, they're DARK. It's insane. I use the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Eraser neutralizer to offset the darkness around my eyes. And let me just say, it is amazing! Then I would use my Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade medium 25. I honestly love this concealer! It looks so good on after blending. Powder: I don't buy high end makeup product often, in fact, I buy drugstore products. However, the powder that I use is from the Dollar Tree. It is the L.A. Colors powder in Beige. I know, it's $1, but the quality of this powder is just that good to pass ...

Starting an Islamic Study Group with the family!

Started on Saturday, October 18,2014, my family and I, that's including cousins, aunts, and uncles, came together to start an Islamic group to teach each other about Islam and to widen our knowledge on our religion. We started our first day as a trial run, talking about anything we wanted about Islam. I talked about the misconceptions people have on Islam. There were many interesting topics that were mentioned and stories that were told. I even teared up a little bit. The reason why we started this is because as we grow up and live our lives, we want to one day teach our kids and many people about Islam just like our parents taught us. And we don't want to blame our parents for not teaching us when they're gone, so when in doubt we're all being tested by Allah(swt). This is a good idea as it brings my family members close to each other and get to spend time with one another, but also teach each other the importance of Islam, like prophets, five pillars of Islam, Hadith ...

Eid Outfit Ideas?!?!

Image
Eid Al-Adha is right around the corner. October 4th,2014 to be exact. I have NO IDEA what I'm going to wear. Picking outfits for Eid is extremely hard, especially if you want to look presentable and look nice for Eid. I have an idea of what I want my outfit to look like, but I don't have anything pieces of clothing in my closet that will give me my outfit. What I imagine myself wearing instead of an abaya is to wear a pleated long skirt with a white long sleeve blouse tucked into the skirt and add a belt around it to bring the outfit together. I found some really nice pleated long skirts online at Zalora. I'll insert some pictures below to show you. I already know what hijab I want to wear for Eid. I have this floral teal hijab that is just perfect for the day. That's about all I have to say about my Eid outfit. I'll update you guys about my outfit!

Colleges?!?!

I'm excited to graduate from high school and head off to college, but first I have to apply to colleges. I started applying into colleges like Penn State University, Bloomsburg University, West Chester University, and Robert Morris University. But let me tell you, it's so stressful. I still need to write my essays, get my teachers' letter of recommendation, and send out my transcript and SAT scores. It's so much work, but if other people who are in college or who have went to college can do it, so can I! I just need to believe in myself. Aside from colleges, I'm excited to start a new chapter in my life. I wonder what my future holds. I guess I'll never know unless I live every single day and cherish the moments. That's including being stressed out about colleges. OH WELL.

Fall is Approaching!

Image
With Fall coming very soon in about a week (according to the calendar), I'm getting really excited! It's already feeling like fall here in Pennsylvania. It is getting so cold already that I'm no longer wearing t-shirts but long sleeve shirts around the house. CRAZY! Also, my toes are freeezzzzing. Not even kidding! Thank goodness for socks! Without socks, I wouldn't even feel my toes right now. Anyways, fall is one of my favorite seasons besides spring and summer. I just love when the leaves are starting to turn yellow and orange and it starts to fall from the trees. It makes me really excited to go out and play with the leaves. I'm seventeen and I still go out and play? WHAT?! Yes, I'm a kid at heart and I know how to have fun and also act mature. Lol. What can I say? I love nature! Besides leaves turning colors and falling from the trees, I really love the fall outfits that are coming out. The boots and scarves and sweaters! Are you kidding me? Who wouldn'...

A trip to Army Heritage

Image
Yesterday my family spent the day together going to Sport Emporium and play all the fun games. After that, we decided to go visit the Army Heritage to see all the cool photos and gadgets they had. It was pretty awesome! I took a lot of pictures, and I showed you some of them below. Overall, it was an awesome day because after we got done seeing all the soldiers, weapons, and more stuff,  we ordered pizza! Yum! Pizza Hut pizza to be exact and it was delicious!
