Hi everyone! Finally I have time to blog my experience at ICNA 2017! I've been so busy with school and exams that I haven't had time. It's currently 12:56am as I am writing this on April 23rd. So ICNA 2017 was so much fun and informative! It lasted 3 days, 2 being the whole day and the last day being a half day. It ran from April 14-16 at the Baltimore Convention Center. When we arrived, it seemed like there wasn't a lot of people, but once it was time to pray, eat and walk the bazaar, everyone came out. So the first day, my family and I attended the main session held at the Main Hall. We heard so many speakers speak to the audience, like Sh. Omar Suleiman, Dr. Dalia F. Fahmy, Linda Sarsour, comedian Jeremy McLennan, Yasir Qadhi, and many more. And I met up with my cousin and her parents and anyone else we knew from the community. Yes, it's true. I met an Orange Is The New Black cast member, Diane Guerrero on April 11, 2017. And yes, I did just write the exact date. I was fangirling when I saw her. No joke. Well here's what happened. I just finished my last class and I was heading to my car to put my stuff away before going into the building where the event was held. After putting my things away, I walked towards the building in the exact moment right when Diane's driver drove up. She walked out, security people around her, and walked right in the building. I was behind her with my friends walking in and as I was walking, I was freaking out to my friends. I could tell all the people she walked passed was so excited! They were definitely starstruck. We were pretty early to the event, which started at 5pm, but that's a good thing because we were able to get fairly good seat to see her from a good view. She is literally so pretty. Wait what?! Did I really hold an Oscars award? YES I DID. It was unreal you guys. So here's what happened. Jon Landau, film producer of Titanic, Avatar, and many more movies, was set to speak at Penn State Harrisburg at 7pm. An hour before the event started, I was in the library working on my assignments and killing time so I could attend the event later. 6:45 hit and I packed up all my things, put it in my backpack, and left the library to go meet my dad and sisters who were coming to hear Jon Landau speak. They finally arrived and we went into the building where the event was held. We took our seats, waited for more people to show up, and then we began the event. I could see Jon Landau with my own two eyes in front of me on the stage. It was pretty awesome! He gave an awesome talk about dreaming. Not just dreaming, but the whole film industry within itself. He talked about his experience and how he got to where he is now. He said something along the lines "Everyone can dream...

Hi everyone! Today is Thursday and Friday is tomorrow, so I'm very excited! If you can't already tell by the title of the post, it's raining. I wish I would have looked at the weather forecast this morning before going to school. I came to school wearing jeans, a light sweater, hijab (of course) and my Vans. Boy, I didn't think this through. Also, I didn't bring an umbrella with me because I DON'T HAVE ONE. I really need to get one soon. Anyways, I was soaked from head to toe, literally, like I could feel water inside my shoes. Not good you guys. Thank god for my friend Madi for bringing her umbrella with her today. She shared her umbrella with me, and just keep in mind, this umbrella was made for one person only. We were like conjouned twins at that point. Have you ever felt like you needed to just take a break and relax from school and work and everything else your doing in life? Well, I know I do. I recently went to City Island on Sunday to walk around and get some ice cream with the family. It was a pretty good day! I mean, it was pretty great to just distress and relax for once. Enjoy the pictures below!! That view though. 😍 Who is that girl? You guys guess right. It's me. The sunset adds a nice touch. Thank god for that.  I wish it wasn't so blurry looking, but what can you do when it gets dark out. NOTHING.  When your dad talks you through taking this picture. Okay dad.  I tried. Hey everyone! I'm back. I know, it's been a while. Well, MORE LIKE I'VE BEEN GONE A LONG TIME. I'm sorry for being MIA. I'll try to post more when I have the time, and hopefully I'll have time in between school and work to sit down and just write for you guys. I'm really excited to get back into blogging.
