I MET AN OITNB CAST MEMBER?!
Yes, it's true. I met an Orange Is The New Black cast member, Diane Guerrero on April 11, 2017. And yes, I did just write the exact date. I was fangirling when I saw her. No joke. Well here's what happened. I just finished my last class and I was heading to my car to put my stuff away before going into the building where the event was held. After putting my things away, I walked towards the building in the exact moment right when Diane's driver drove up. She walked out, security people around her, and walked right in the building. I was behind her with my friends walking in and as I was walking, I was freaking out to my friends. I could tell all the people she walked passed was so excited! They were definitely starstruck. We were pretty early to the event, which started at 5pm, but that's a good thing because we were able to get fairly good seat to see her from a good view. She is literally so pretty. I kid you not, I wanted to walk up to her to take a picture because other people were taking pictures with her before the event started, but I was so scared that I didn't fall through with it. But I knew that I would get a picture with her eventually at the end of her talk. So the event began. I'm sidetracking right now, but can I just say that her outfit was so cute! I would wear that. Anyways, her purpose of coming to Penn State Harrisburg was to talk about her experience when her parents got deported and she talked about immigration reform and how that impacted her life. She mentioned a lot about her activism and what organizations currently at the moment she is working with. As much as I want to write about what she talked about, I feel like it would be too long, and I know you guys do not want to read too long of a post. This is already long enough, right?! After the talk ended, I waited in line with my friends and sister to take a picture with Diane. Finally it was my turn. I said something along the lines, "Hi" and "Thank you for coming today to Penn State" and she said something along the lines, "Thank you for having me. You're so sweet!" Did she really just say that? Oh yeah, I got to hug her too! She's so cool and funny. I loved all the funny moments during her talk. It was so awesome to have met Diane Guerrero! (I love her in Jane the Virgin! That's where I know her from. Also, it's one of my favorite shows. If you haven't watched it yet, go do so. You won't regret it.)
This happened!!!
